Craig was born November 25, 1958 in Lydia to Carroll J. Perez and the late Peggy Ransonet Perez, and passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Iberia Medical Center with his family at his side.

Craig worked alongside his father at the family business, Perez Marine, in Lydia for over 20 years. He also worked with Homco and Grafton Drilling.

Some of his favorite pastimes were riding motorcycles, particularly when riding for charitable events, and cooking for family and friends, a skill taught to him by his mother-in-law. Above all, Craig was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend to many. He will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his son, Craig James Lopez; his mother, Peggy Ransonet Perez; and his in-laws, Clemire and Hilda Lopez.

Serving as pallbearers are Robert Savoie, Jr., Johnny Savage, David Courville, Brandon and Courtney Mendoza and Ho Tran. Honorary pallbearers are Carroll Perez, McKenzie Buford, Chasity Savage, Chrissy Perez Buford and Sylvia Lopez.
